This month:

• I was eating lunch when Sailor came up to me and was trying to tell me something while I was reading. Since I wasn't really listening, she said, "Mommy, look at me!" After I looked at her, she said, "You are a big girl."
• Sailor and I were sitting on the couch when she leaned over to me and said, "You're my best friend... I want a wister (sister)." I think she had just realized how pathetic it was that her mom was her best friend ;).
• While we were driving in the car one day, there was a car that was going a little slow in front of us. I didn't even think that Sailor noticed but, from the back seat, she shouted, "Come on!!" Oops.. guess I better work on my road rage.
• Sailor started to learn parts of the BYU fight song.
• When something is stuck, Sailor says that it's "stucking".
• Sailor went potty in the toilet for the first time!

January 2013

This month:

• A moment that is only noteworthy if you are a mom: the moment your child has to get his/her blood drawn for the first time. This month, Sailor had to get her blood drawn for the first time and it was so sad! She did so well though and didn't even cry. The two people that were administering the blood draw said that they've never seen a two-year-old do so well before! Sailor, for all the times you've embarrassed me in public, thank you for this.
• When I would sing I Pray in Faith to Sailor, every time I'd get to "I begin by saying dear Heavenly Father" she would ask, "Where's Roman?" I realized one day that she was asking where he was because, when we were in Utah and she'd ask where he was, we'd tell her that he was with Heavenly Father.
• Sailor calls chapstick "chapskit". She used to call it "nips" for lips.
• One day as Sailor and I were driving home after a tough day in nursery at church, I asked Sailor how nursery was. She responded, "I be sad."
• Music = "mucus"
• When I'd ask her something that merited a "no" response, Sailor would say "nopes."
• I thought I'd try my hand at potty training this week but thought twice when I found a pile of poo in the shoe closet.
• "I love you very most."

My parents got her this Mr. Potato Head set for Christmas and she was obsessed with it for at least a month. She had to bring it with her everywhere.

The hat that Great Grandma Klumker made for her was too small, so she made another one. Sailor is "reading" the note that she sent with the hat.
