March 2013

This month:

  • Sailor and I were skyping with my parents (something we do on a weekly basis) when, all of the sudden, Sailor pointed to my dad's head and said, "Grandpa has poopy hair." HAHA! Now Grandpa's nickname is Poopy Hair.
  • One morning, after getting ready to go to the gym, I came out of my room and Sailor said, "You look beautiful, mama." Have I ever mentioned that I love her?
  • Instead of saying yes to things, Sailor always says "ok!" For example, "Sailor, do you want a banana?" "OK!!" She has been doing this for several months now.
  • Sailor is obsessed with wooden puzzles and is really quite good at them.
  • Sailor is very polite for her age. She seems like she says "please" and "thank you" more than most of her friends.
  • Unfortunately, Sailor is still sick ALL the time :(.

Ice cream family night to Cold Stone

Sailor and Jackson, sitting in a tree...
Sailor and Jackson again.
Sailor and I at barrel racings for the first time.

Only in Texas can you do this in March.
I work as a standardized patient at Texas A&M, which gave Sailor and I the opportunity to participate in Disaster Day (an event that attempts to prepare all of the medical students for a big disaster). This year there was a (fake) gas explosion in the stadium and I had (supposedly) fallen on Sailor and gotten pretty beat up. Looks real, doesn't it?
This is from Disaster Day as well.. they had face painting for the kids, to make  the simulation seem even more real (since the disaster supposedly happened during a football game).

We're both keeping it together quite well considering the carnage and mayhem that surround us ;).
One of my childhood friend's little sister played basketball for Nebraska, who came to Texas A&M to play for the WNCAA tourny. It was my first A&M sporting event and it was really fun!
Playing with the animal puzzles that Great Grandma and Grandpa Klumker made for her.

The lovebirds again.
Glen, Sailor and I went to the Houston Zoo over Spring Break. It was way too crowded (it took us over an hour to park), but it was still fun.. at least for Sailor and me ;).

Sailor LOVED the monkeys.
What a cute little bum.

After the stake Music Makers' Easter Egg Hunt.
After the ward Easter Egg Hunt.
Doing bubbles at a community Easter activity.

Easter Sunday

Easter Egg Hunt in our backyard (as if she didn't already go to enough hunts). These eggs were sent to us from Grandma and Grandpa Klumker. Can you tell that we're first-time parents (with both the still camera and video camera going at the same time?)

Showing us the finished product.
